THEORY OF HARMONY AND TEACHING METHOD
1979–Present: I have, for the past thirty years, developed a grand unification theory of harmony that covers all aspects
of voice-leading, modulation, transitioning, diatonic and chromatic tonal
harmony, pan-diatonic and atonal harmony, and creation of new harmonic
systems. Students of this method
learn to segue seamlessly from one musical event to another. I am compiling a text on this method. I have also
developed methods of teaching free improvisation in two and more parts based on
certain structural features of tonal and species counterpoint.
